NFL Preview

8/3/2014

Hello everybody! I'm sorry I haven't posted since March, weird spring. Well the Hall of Fame Game was tonight, which means football is finally returning. A new start for teams like the Texans and Jaguars, Super Bowl or bust hopes for the 49ers and Patriots. I'm so pumped for this season that I've been watching the 49ers playoffs highlights from 2012-2014 since April. Such a tough ending, but very excited for the prospect of 2014.

Starting tomorrow, I will be posting a division's preview every day starting with the NFC West. Each team will have their projected record, team MVP, ROY, and Sleeper. For example:

Heat: 41-41

MVP: Chris Bosh

ROY: Shabazz Napier

Sleeper: Josh McRoberts

This will all be starting tomorrow for the NFL. This will be an everyday thing for the next 8 days.

My Bracket

3/17/2014

Hey everybody. So this is my bracket for the 2014 edition of March Madness. You can see I have Duke beating Florida in the National Championship, not because they are my favorite team, because I honestly believe they will win the National Championship. My biggest upset is 14 Western Michigan beating 3 Syracuse. Syracuse has been awful this past month and that trend will not stop going into the tournament.

A pretty big upset I have is Stanford beating Kansas in the Round of 32. I have been to a fair amount of Stanford games this year. At some points there were face palm moments including when they squeaked out a win against Utah and lost to Colorado after having a good lead. Stanford hasn't been to the tournament since the 2008 tournament with the Lopez twins. I believe there is something special about this team coached by Johnny Dawkins. Led by Dwight Powell and Chasson Randle, this squad beat a talented UCLA team and a skilled UCONN team. I hope to see them go far.

I hope everybody has a great time watching March Madness and don't forget to make a bracket. If you read this, please leave a comment. If you have any questions, please contact me!

March Madness is Here

March Madness is here

Wow! Looking back to Veterans Day weekend, I had no idea the season would be this crazy. From Wichita State being undefeated, to the inconsistency of Kansas, and to the crazy amount of upsets this year. I did not see this coming at all. Now on the Sunday before Conference Tournament Week, I believe we are just seeing the beginning of March Madness.

This week is going to be nuts with conference tournament upsets. A couple top five teams will go down this weekend in the conference tournament. Florida is a great team and very deserving of the number 1 ranking but it will be hard for them to survive the tournament without losing. Yes they went 18-0 in conference play, but I believe they will be taken down by a team in the SEC tournament. Remember 2012, the Kentucky year? They were unbeatable all of the SEC regular season, then taken down in the Conference Tournament Championship by Vanderbilt. Of course they ended up winning it all and all five starters went to the NBA but the loss came at the right time. Billy Donovan's squad has been amazing this year, but a loss in this upcoming tournament would be helpful to them for what really matters, the actual tournament!

The biggest tournament this week will be the ACC tournament. One of the bigger stories towards the end of the year has been the downfall of Syracuse. They lost to Boston College at home which and to Duke on the road. They beat Maryland then lost at Virginia and lost to Georgia Tech at home. The Boston College loss was just awful. They were undefeated at home, playing the second worst team in the conference, and they lost. Boston College now is 8-22, looking to win the tournament and make it to the NCAA Tournament. Duke is also an intriguing story coming into this tournament. Coming off a big win at home to UNC, the Blue Devils are trying to lock in a two seed for the Big Dance. I believe they have it locked up but you never know with the selection Sunday committee. If they lose their first game and Wisconsin, Virginia, Syracuse, and Kansas all have a good tournament, Duke can be a three seed in the Tournament. I don't see this Duke team losing early in this tournament, or losing at all. I think they will go and cut down the nets in Greensboro.

The Big Ten tournament is always a good, fun tournament to watch. This tournament will be wide open this year. There are many teams in this conference that are Sweet 16, Elite 8 teams. Wisconsin is the one everybody is talking about but look at Michigan (who won the regular season), Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, and why not throw in Nebraska. Nebraska just beat Wisconsin at home which is one of the biggest ever in Pinnacle Bank Aren, Ohio State just beat Michigan State in a last second thriller, and Michigan finished out the season strong with a win against Indiana. Anything can happen this year in the Big Ten tournament, I think it's going to be a great one.

I am very excited for a preview of what's to come later this month. I will have my bracket out the Monday after Selection Sunday. Please leave a comment down below and have a great day.
